Resolution Colorants

One of each garment was dry cleaned 20 times in perchloroethylene, one was dry cleaned 20 times in the Micare liquid carbon dioxide system, and one was used as a standard control sample and was not cleaned. The color change in the cleaned garments was measured using a high-resolution color reflectometer, and the changes were scaled versus the noncleaned identical garment. 

The Hertz method [4] resembles the Sweet technology [4], since it also uses a continuous ink jet, the drops of which are charged by control electrodes. However, it uses charge intensity modulation instead of deflection and is especially suited for high resolution color printing. 

If a display adapter is a VGA adapter in the standard configuration, which one of the following would be the default resolution/color choice ... 

For viewing of the video data from a hot-stage experiment, a high-resolution color monitor connected to the camera output gives the ability to easily view the experiment without having to peer through the microscope ocular. The video (either digital or from videotape) can also be presented on a quality monitor. 

While it may appear that direct absorption spectra are superceding the older indirect approaches, such a conclusion would be unwarranted and incorrect. The ingenuity of many workers in the field continues to expand the scope and breadth of these techniques. The first high-resolution study of a molecular trimer was made by the FTMW spectroscopy of (HCN)3. However, only the linear structure was observed, since microwave spectroscopy demands a permanent dipole moment. A subsequent mid infrared study using a high-resolution color-center laser with bolometric detection, observed both linear and cyclic forms, whose spectra are shown in Fig. 14.

Representational displays are pictorial or symbolic displays. Examples are video images, graphs and maps. These displays may be static or dynamic. Size of display, size of elements displayed, realism, resolution, color, and rate of change affect performance. Symbols are a form of representational display. Chapter 32 discussed them.
