Surface Fluorination of Polymers. Fluorocarbon-coated objects have many practical appHcations because the chemically adherent surface provides increased thermal stabiHty, resistance to oxidation and corrosive chemicals and solvents, decreased coefficient of friction and thus decreased wear, and decreased permeabiHty to gas flow.
