Since 2007, Dr. Fisher has directed the NSF-supported Molecular and Cellular Bioengineering Research Experiences for Undergraduates Site. He has served as editor of several works, and he is currently the editor-in-chief of the journal Tissue Engineering, Part B Reviews. He has edited two books, and he was the tissue engineering editor for the third edition of The Biomedical Engineering Handbook (2006).
