Removing menu command

You can add any of Excel s built-in menu commands to a menu, or remove menu commands that you don t use. The procedures in the following boxes cover these possibilities. 

Some menu commands are preceded by a check mark if the choice has been selected previously. To remove the selection, depending on the command you either click on the check mark or select the command again. 

Drag the menu command off the menu (when you click on it, the menu command is highlighted) and release the mouse button. The menu command will disappear. You can remove a complete menu from a menu bar in the same way. 

To insert a separator bar above the new menu command, choose Begin a Group from the shortcut menu to remove a separator bar, uncheck Begin a Group from the shortcut menu. 

From the preceding examples it should be clear that you can create automatic procedures that install a menu command when a particular workbook is opened and remove the menu command when that workbook is closed (using the Workbook BeforeClose event procedure). Or you can install a command when a particular worksheet is activated and remove it when that worksheet is deactivated. 

Choose Clear command on the Edit menu to remove water molecules and to display the protein structure. 

The default Excel 2000 workbook contains three worksheets, but you can add or remove sheets. Three Excel commands permit you to add or remove sheets from a workbook. The Delete Sheet command in the Edit menu permanently removes the active sheet from the workbook. To add a worksheet to a workbook, use the Worksheet command in the Insert menu (you can also insert a chart sheet). To move or copy sheets within a workbook, or from one workbook to another, use the Move or Copy Sheet... command (Figure 1-10) in the Edit menu. 

You can install either custom menus or any of Excel s built-in menus on your custom menu bar. To install custom menus, follow the procedure in the following box to install any of Excel s built-in menus, follow the same procedure but choose "Built-in Menus" from the Categories box. You can apply the same methods used for custom menus to add commands to, remove commands from, or rename the built-in menus. Menus installed on a custom menu bar are displayed with a drop-down arrow next to the menu name. Figure 18-1 shows such a custom menu bar. 

Type C >MSAV at the MS-DOS command line. From the main menu on the screen that appears, you can check for viruses on any disk drive as well as remove them if any are present. In the lower-right corner of this screen, you can see which drive you are currently scanning for viruses. 

If you right-click on a data block you have access to another pop-up menu, shown in Fig. 3.9. Herewith you can change the display color of the spectrum or remove it from the spectrum window. The other commands will be discussed later. 

Remove any leftover dialog boxes or screens. Go to Data in the menu and click on components. Use Edit to delete the two rows. You may need to click on the row to obtain the Delete Row command in edit. Then add propane, n-butane, and n-pentane as the three conponents. Using the menu, go to Data Properties and change the choice of VLE model. Peng-Robinson is a good choice for hydrocarbons. Use the Next button and input the mole fractions (propane 0.2, n-butane 0.3 and n-pentane 0.5). Keep fraction vaporized at 0.4 and pressure of 1.0 bar for now. Click on the Next button and do the run when ready. Record your results (conponent flow rates, T, y and x) or print out the report. If you have time, try different fraction vaporized, different feed conpositions, and different temperatures.
