Remote control units

The P-scan System 4 can be configured in many ways, dependent on the application. Figure 1 shows a basic system configuration. The P-scan processor (PSP-4) controls the scanner and the water pump. Scarmer operation on site is performed from the remote control unit, as an alternative to the control from the computer. The PSP-4 also includes the ultrasonic system.

Remote control units. These units are used to control unit processes. Basic control functions such as the PID algorithm are implemented here. Depending on other hardware components used, data acquisition capability may be required to perform digital control. They may be configured to supply process set points to single-loop controllers. Radio telemetiy may be installed to communicate with MUX units located at great distances. 

Move the back-stop out of the way. This is done using the remote control unit next to the instrument.

A programmer s task. - The programmer must enter information concerning welding spots into robots used for sheet metal welding in the body assembly division.
