Regional combination

The South and North were the two largest timber-related secondary products manufacturing regions, adding 16,350 million (41%) and 15,549 million (30%) of value, respectively, in 1991 (Table 10). The Rocky Mountain and Pacific Coast regions combined added the remaining 20%. 

Rider and Amott were able to produce notable improvements in bond durability in comparison with simple abrasion pre-treatments. In some cases, the pretreatment improved joint durability to the level observed with the phosphoric acid anodizing process. The development of aluminum platelet structure in the outer film region combined with the hydrolytic stability of adhesive bonds made to the epoxy silane appear to be critical in developing the bond durability observed. XPS was particularly useful in determining the composition of fracture surfaces after failure as a function of boiling-water treatment time. A key feature of the treatment is that the adherend surface prepared in the boiling water be treated by the silane solution directly afterwards. Given the adherend is still wet before immersion in silane solution, the potential for atmospheric contamination is avoided. Rider and Amott have previously shown that such exposure is detrimental to bond durability.

Bomite-chalcopyrite—pyrite assemblage also defines /sj -temperature region. Combining the FeS content of sphalerite coexisting with bomite-chalcopyrite-pyrite, /s2-temperature can be determined (Kouda, 1977).

The MOEs for diet were calculated for different regions and for all regions combined. The calculation of the frequency distribution of herbicide intake from diet included all food potentially exposed to the herbicide, the average amount of each of these foods consumed per day in a lifetime, and the frequency distribution of the residue concentration (triazine herbicide and chloro-metabolites) in each of these foods. 

Hence, dendritic connection can be brought about by a combination of these regions. Regional combinations can thus be classified into three distinct types (1) outer sphere-outer sphere (2) outer sphere —inner sphere and (3) inner sphere-inner sphere. Each of these combinations can be employed either separately or in concert (Figure 9.4). 

Low-temperature turnover in the susceptibility curves required incorporation of a (T - d) term in Van Vleck s equation (11), as well as a small component of paramagnetic impurity. Use of variable field experimental data in this low-temperature region, combined with the thermodynamic form of x, Eq. (12), would have been desirable. Exploration of wide parameter space in the fitting process and use of best-fit contour maps of e/ M vs JcrM yielded the following parameter values ...
