Recycling future prospects

With regards to the sale of recycled products, planning and monitoring is linked to expenditure on sales activities, emotions, customer demands and future prospects. Remuneration schemes and plans for rewarding increases in the sale of recycled products are... [Pg.127]

RECYCLING PROSPECTS FOR FUTURE ADVANCED BATTERY SYSTEMS Sodium/Sulfur (Na/S)... [Pg.320]

The estimated value of domestic (nonfuel) mineral raw materials mined in the United States is 40 biUion (net imports into the United States amount to 29 billion) Nine of these minerals have an annual production value of over 1 billion at the present time. These are mainly commodity construction materials such as sand and gravel but also include key metals such as gold, copper, iron, as well as phosphate rock. For some important minerals the United States depends entirely on exports and conscientious exploitation of the ore resources in foreign countries will be crucial to domestic economic development. Ores of precious and rare-earth metals, for instance, cannot be replenished in a practical time scale and their applications typically do not allow these to be recycled effectively. An energy-rich material-poor world is as bleak a prospect as one with no future energy options. [Pg.17]

The controversial debate about the future availability of lithium has led to various studies that have analyzed lithium s future supply situation within the context of strong demand for this raw material from future technologies such as traction batteries for electric mobility [20-22,47-49]. Many of these studies prospectively modeled future lithium demand and how that might exert an impact on the supply situation. In this context, lithium recycling is predicted to play an important role for its future availability and to significantly reduce the demand for the primary raw material (see Table 22.4). [Pg.519]

A promising line for future R D - even though somewhat outside the scope of the biodegradability concept - could be the development of biomass-derived polymers that can be recycled mechanically, preferably also in blends with petrochemical polymers. Such recyclable polymers made from renewable raw materials are likely to be unrivalled in environmental terms provided that their manufacture is not too resource-intensive in the first place. This may offer longer term prospects to PHA, PEA and other bio-based polymers while post-consumer recycling of starch polymers seems hardly viable due to the sensitivity of these products to water. [Pg.461]

Recycled Sometimes a prospect won t actually become a lead yet. She may have downloaded a few ebooks, but when she s Ccdled by sales, she is not ready to buy. Instead of leaving that potenticd future lead in a black hole to dry out and die, you Wcint to make sure she is recycled into your lead nurturing databeise. That way, you can continue sending your prospect relevant and educational materials in hopes that one day soon she will indeed become a viable lead. [Pg.24]
