For a high-performance glass fibre reinforced thermoplastic such as PEEK, the retention of modulus and strength after two and four recycling cycles are in the ranges of 79-87% and 76-84%, respectively. [Pg.855]

In summary, the mechanical behavior of the recycled ABS is changing in some aspects. Young s modulus is not affected, but yield stress and impact strength, are found to be reduced. These properties drop in the first recycling step, and remain essentially constant in successive recycling cycles. [Pg.252]

Recycling cycles of the emulsion in the feeding engine system through the injectors and pipes have not changed the emulsions properties. [Pg.1532]

If intelligent disconnector (ID) are applied, a Recloser must be put before them, or feeding from the substation with automatic equipment set at the recycling cycle repeating itself several times is used. In the case of short-circuit, the reclosing cycle repeating... [Pg.1838]

Workplace exposure A flame retarded PS was subjected to two successive simulated recycling cycles and workplace exposure to PBDD/F was monitored during processing. At all stages, exposure to dioxins/furans was below the German workplace limits by about two orders of magnitude. [Pg.129]

Five HDPE samples, consisting of a virgin HDPE for food-contact applications, three samples of this polymer taken after each of the three sequential recycling cycles and a real post-consumer sample were analysed. Two different extraction methods were applied a combination of maceration and sonication and the total dissolution of the polymer. In order to evaluate both the feasibility of using these polymers in food-contact applications and the evolution of HDPE composition through the recycling process, samples were analysed by both qualitative and quantitative GC-MS. Furthermore, GC-FTD was applied to the determination of alpha-alkenes, the most representative compounds as indicators of polymer matrix degradation. Finally, antioxidants were analysed by reversed phase HPLC. 34 refs. [Pg.90]
