Reagents nitrogen analyses

A iridine traces in aqueous solution can be determined by reaction with 4-(p-nitroben25l)pyridine [1083-48-3] and potassium carbonate [584-08-7]. Quantitative determination is carried out by photometric measurement of the absorption of the blue dye formed (367,368). Alkylating reagents interfere in the determination. A iridine traces in the air can be detected discontinuously by absorption in Folin s reagent (l,2-naphthoquinone-4-sulfonate) [2066-93-5] (369,370) with subsequent chloroform extraction and hplc analysis of the red dye formed (371,372). The detection limit is ca 0.1 ppm. Nitrogen-specific thermal ionisation detectors can be used for continuous monitoring of the ambient air. [Pg.12]

The individuality of received complexes was proved by X-ray phase analysis (DRON-3.0). Preparative investigation of complexes was made. Infrared spectrums of complexes were made (Uh-20, KBr). It was proved that in the III complex hydroxylamine is coordinated with Fe (II) by oxygen in the form of n-oxyde-o-NH -and in IV - by nitrogen in the form of NH OH. The composition of IV hasn t been proved in dry ruminant because of surplus age of reagent. Tire composition of III responds to formula of [Fe(NH,OH) Cl,]. [Pg.42]

As a general rule, peracetylation is most useful for compounds below Mr 2000, particularly those that have been reduced with sodium borohydride and still contain some salt. The best procedure for peracetylation is based on the method of Bourne and coworkers. Samples are dissolved in 2 1 (v/v) trifluoroacetic anhydride-acetic acid and the solutions kept for 10 min at room temperature. Reagents are removed under a stream of nitrogen, and a solution of the product in chloroform is washed with water to remove salts, and dried the peracetylated sample is dissolved in methanol for the f.a.b. analysis. [Pg.32]

This reagent was obtained either from Aldrich Chemical Company, Inc., or Lithium Corporation of America, Bessemer City, NC. A technical data sheet is available from the suppliers. Solutions of ca. 2 M were titrimetrically analyzed for active alkyllithium by the tosylhydrazone method. It is advisable to make certain that the organolithium reagent to be used was prepared in pentane solution. This evaluation can be easily accomplished by the gas chromatographic analysis of the organic layer obtained from the hydrolysis, under a nitrogen atmosphere, of the tert-butyllithium solution to be used. Isobutane and pentane should comprise essentially all of the... [Pg.142]
