The Journal fur Gasbeleuchtung mentions electrolytic corrosion damage caused by direct current cables in Berlin in 1892, and a few years later damage by tramway currents was reported in 14 German towns. As early as 1894 the electrolytic processes of stray current corrosion were explained in detail in this Journal by G.Rasch [65].

Die langsame Zersetzung von Lithiumalanat i.Vak. beginnt bei 70° unter Wasser-stoff-Entwicklung und Bildung von Aluminium und Trilithium-hexahydrido-aluminat bei 120-125° tritt rasch Zersetzung ein. tlber 130° zerfallt es in Lithiumhydrid und Aluminium3,4.

Da die Imin-Stufe i. a. rasch zum Amin weiterreduziert wird, ist das Imin nur dann End-stufe der Reduktion, wenn entsprechende stereochemische oder elektronische Vorausset-zungen gegeben sind. 

Methode 1 lm Reaktionskolben legt man 40 ml Diathylather und 5 mMol Sulfoxid vor und kiihlt mit einem Wasserbad. Unter Riihren gibt man rasch das Titan(IV)-chlorid und anschlieBend in kleinen Portionen den Zink-staub zu. Nach 1 Min. gibt man 50 ml Wasser zu, trennt die organ. Phase ab, wascht sie mit Wasser, trocknet, engt ein und chromatographiert den Riickstand mit Hexan oder Pentan an Kieselgel. 

Dibrom-3-oxo-steroide werden durch Chrom(II)-chlorid-Losungen rasch zu den entsprechenden 3-Oxo-zl 4-stcroiden reduziert4 z. B. ...

According to Andersen [12] early applications of LLM are attributed to the Danish sociologist Rasch in 1963 and to Andersen himself. Later on, the approach has been described under many different names, such as spectral map analysis [13,14] in studies of drug specificity, as logarithmic analysis in the French statistical literature [15] and as the saturated RC association model [16]. The term log-bilinear model has been used by Escoufier and Junca [ 17]. In Chapter 31 on the analysis of measurement tables we have described the method under the name of log double-centred principal components analysis.
