TEST KIT 1 cannot be applied to detect SRB numbers less than lO cfu/mL (colony forming units/mL). 

Both TEST KIT 2 and TEST KIT 3 are totally unreliable for determining and quantifying bacterial proliferation in effluent water as weU as bacterial quantification in seawater. However, it is advised that these methods may perhaps be used for detecting the presence of bacteria.
