Quinolone-DNA-enzyme complex

Both ciprofloxacin (7) and ofloxacin (8) are, needless to say, fluoroquinolone antibiotics. Their targets are well known they inhibit bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV. These two enzymes are essential for the uncoiling of DNA.
