Quality System Requirements for the Laboratory

Quality systems are based on the concepts of quality assurance and quality control, as described above. Although quality assurance and quality control activities are often considered separately, they are closely linked, together forming a complete system. 

A laboratory may decide to design and follow its own QA system. However, it may be easier and provide better reassurance to the client to follow the protocols of an established system.
