Puerariae Flos (the flowers of Pueraria lobata) is a crude drug used for counteraction to alcohol intoxication in traditional Japanese and Chinese therapeutic systems [20]. We have found that total OGs were effective for alcohol intoxication [21]. It was also effective for an experimental in vivo model of hepatic injury [22]. That is, the total OG decreased the alanine aminotransferase (ALT) level in high fatty food-induced and CCl4-induced experimental liver injury. After repeating some chromatographic technique, we obtained three OGs together with several isoflavones [20]. 

For stiff neck and shoulder, add Radix Puerariae Lobatae Ge Gen). This results in Gui Zhi Jia Ge Gen Tang (Cinnamon Pueraria Decoction). 

For measles rash not emitting fully, add Rhizoma Cimicifugae (Sheng Ma) and Radix Puerariae Lobatae (Ge Gen). 

For concurrent signs of an exterior patterns, such as fever and aversion to cold, add Radix Puerariae Lobatae (Ge Gen), Radix Scutellariae Baicalensis (Huang Qin), Flos Lonicerae Japonicae (Yin Hua), and Fructus Forsythiae Suspensae (Lian Qiao). 

For summerheat pattern with diarrhea, add Radix Puerariae Lobatae (Ge Gen), Herba Agastachis Seu Pogostemi (Huo Xiang), and Radix Saussureae Seu Vladimiriae (Mu Xiang). This results in Qian Shi Bai Zhu San (Master Qian s Atractylodis Powder).
