Psychic ability

Shown by breaks between letters and found often in part printed/ part eursive script. These people have a developed a sixth sense or psychic ability to feel situations very accurately, often before they occur. 

Those interests led me to other areas of the paranormal. Pretty soon I was engrossed in studying all kinds of topics. I learned different techniques for divination, including the Tarot. I learned how to meditate. I took courses to develop my own psychic skills, and I gave psychic readings to others. Everyone has at least some natural psychic ability and can improve it with attention and practice. 

Skeptics would ask why no one has used future-life progression to predict stock values or lottery numbers. Dr. Goldberg says he considers this an unnatural use of our natural psychic abilities and, in any case, the dates are not always accurate. For example, a progression of one week in the future may, in actuality, be three days or ten days hence. Still, that would be good enough to make a killing on Wall Street. 

Going into some d-ASCs may make it easier for us to accept the role of being persons with psychic abilities because we are so obviously not our ordinary selves. Some people who ordinarily think psi is nonsense will go to a party, get stoned on marijuana, and gladly read someone s palms, sometimes apparently showing psi in the process, because they feel so different in that d-ASC that they do not experience this psychic role as being in serious conflict with their ordinary roles. 

I have known many people who have claimed to be psychics. Some of them have demonstrated psi abilities under laboratory conditions others are self-professed psychics. Some of them struck me as highly mature, loving, and aware, as having the kind of qualities that I hope are associated with being spiritual. Some exuded sentimental spirituality all over the place and believed it themselves, but they struck me as being as neurotic as the rest of us (or more so). Many were quite unremarkable. The limited laboratory studies that have looked for personality correlates of psi ability have not had any particular success [96], and my own impressions of psychcis have not suggested any connection between personality and psychic ability.

A classic illustration of psychic ability gone wild is the renowned healer Edgar Cayce, who worked as a psychic diagnostician (his term) by entering a trance and suggesting cures for clients he had never even met. 

His chart (Figure 19-5) showed all the indications of psychic ability. He had the Sun and three planets in Pisces, three planets in the eighth house, a Moon/Neptune conjunction in the tenth house, and Uranus rising. 

Becoming a skilled astrologer has nothing to do with psychic ability. Astrology is an accumulated body of knowledge — not the mystic ability to intercept messages from the spirit world. Anyone can learn it. But you re more likely to be interested if you have some of the following in your chart ...
