The mix composition of the slurry is particularly important, to ensure efficient infiltration during production, as well as to control the properties of the hardened concrete. The slurry can be made either of paste or mortar with fine sand particles. Usually, superplasticizers are needed to improve the flow properties, and in many instances the mix contains fly ash and silica fume [22,23,25]. Changes in the composition of the matrix were found to have a considerable effect on the properties of the hardened composite [23].
