1.3- Propene sultone

In 2001, Mitsui Chemicals discovered that cyclic monosulfonic acid esters containing unsaturated bonds, such as 1,3-propene sultone (PRS) (27) [63], can be used as additives in small quantities however, in 2010, the same company mentioned, PRS which is a comparative unsaturated sultone compound was added, an increase in the initial resistance was confirmed [64]. [Pg.176]

Sulfoxide, sulfinate and sulfonate are used as activators of acetylenic or vinyl units. Several a, P unsaturated synthons, namely acetylenic sulfoxide (1), vinyl sulfoxide (2), acetylenic sulfinate (3), acetylenic sulfonate (4), and l-propene-l,3-sultone (5) are developed. Their applications in Diels-Alder reactions, heterocycle and alkaloid syntheses are also investigated. For the chiral acetylenic sulfoxide, the sulfoxide moiety not only enables chemical activation of the acetylene unit, it can also induce stereochemical control at the adjacent carbon centers to achieve enantioselective synthesis. [Pg.103]

Hexafluoroisobutenylidene sulphate (32) forms compound (33) on heating in a sealed tube at 120—125 °C this may form the perfluoromethacrylic acid derivative (34) at 130 °C, but loses carbon dioxide at 160 °C to form (35), which rearranges to propene (36) on further heating. The sulphate (32) transfers sulphur trioxide to 1,1-difluoro- and tetrafluoro-ethylene on heating, to form the respective sultones.i Reaction of butene (37), from octafluoroisobutene and 2-chloroethanol and triethylamine at —35 to —25 °C, wiUi sulphur trioxide in dichlorodifluoro-... [Pg.67]
