Promethazine with dextromethorphan

Dextromethorphan hydrobromide (Robitussin Route PO DM, Romilar, PediaCare, Benylin DM), benzonatate (Tessalon), diphenhydramine (Benadryl) promethazine with dextromethorphan [combination of a phenothiazine and nonnarcotic antitussive]... 

Each teaspoon (5 mL) of Phenergan with dextromethorphan contains 6.25 mg promethazine hydrochloride and 15 mg dextromethorphan hydrobromide in a flavored syrup base with a pH between 4.7 and 5.2 alcohol, 7%. 

Iodinated glycerol, another agent that is often combined with dextromethorphan, functions as an expectorant. Promethazine hydrochloride is an antihistamine agent sometimes combined with dextromethorphan.
