Prohibition safety signs

Of particular importance to laboratories are diamond safety signs, prohibitive signs, and triangle danger signs. Each sign encloses a descriptive picture. [Pg.163]

Signage. This includes placards mentioned earlier, but will also show areas where personal protective equipment (PPE) is required and the type. It will indicate exits, first aid facilities and eyewashes. It will also indicate the nature of certain chemical hazards. Different colours indicate the different classes of signs - black on yellow for hazards white on green for emergency facilities red, black and white for danger, blue on white for PPE a barred red circle for prohibition and white on red for fire safety. [Pg.369]

Other details of Regulation 15 include a prohibition on driving vehicles on an obstructed route, and on a route with insufficient clearance, so far as is reasonably practicable. Where it is not, steps must be taken to warn the driver and any passengers of the obstructions or lack of clearance. This can be done by signs, which are also required to indicate the traffic route where necessary for reasons of health or safety. [Pg.257]
