Processing procedure window

The number of bands present in a spectral window and their centers of symmetry are pre-requisites to other signal processing procedures i. e. curve fitting. For in situ spectroscopic reaction studies, a set of tracks can be assigned which specify the centers of symmetry for all the bands. Since the bands move as a function of composition, the tracks in a matrix or AF %xv drift. 

The formation of pinholes due to surface roughening can be avoided by optimization of the film deposition parameters. Experience shows, however, that the processing parameter window can be narrower than desired for a reproducible fabrication procedure. The use of a non-superconducting multilayer interspersing YBCO layers is a solution to the problem of irreproduci-bility. The use of SrTiOs/PrGaOs (STO/PGO) intermediate multilayers is an example of a successful combination which significantly opens the processing window [14.76]. 

Procedures should specify the process "windows" for safe operation.

It may be useful to make some explanations on data processing to prepare good D-HMBC spectral data. Sine-bell window is usually employed for processing of HMBC data to give power-mode spectra as shown in fig. 6(a), because they consist of absorption-mode cosine) and dispersion mode sine) signals for both the t and t2 axes. This procedure causes a considerable loss of signal to noise ratio when cross peaks appear as broad ones and when digital resolution is poor as used for ordinary HMBC measurement. 

Note When a window function or any other processing in the time domain is to be applied in conjunction with File Algebra, then the reference FID must be pre-processed in exactly the same way and must be stored. This pre-processed FID, not the original reference FID, should then be assigned as the second NMR file to be subtracted from all the other FIDs of the series. If this procedure is not carried out, differently processed FIDs will be subtracted from each other giving rise to incorrectly processed difference spectra of unsatisfactory quality. 

Excel has the capability to resolve the circular reference by an iteration procedure, but the program must be instructed to do invoke it. This instruction is communicated using the TOOLS-PREFERENCES-CALCULATION pull-down menu. In the CALCULATION window, the ITERATION box must be checked to enable the iteration process. Further there are two boxes that provide the opportunity to specify a maximum number of iterations and an convergence tolerance.
