Process changeover

This section includes design considerations that should be reviewed before an existing system is modified or a new product manufactured. Much of the material included here also applies to a new facility or to the checks that should be made occasionally even in the absence of a changeover. 

Subjects covered include materials of construction, sealing devices and their auxiliaries, equipment design limitations, relief system capabilities, interlocks, and testing for removal of chemicals between processes. The objective of these guidelines is to allow review of design of a process system before introducing a new process.
