Procedure statements

K2 and K3 are provided as input to the CSMP routine by STEPIT, via the X(l), X(2) and X(3) values in C0MM0N/0NE/. The PROCEDURE statement and the statements that fall between it and the ENDPRO statement constitute a small FORTRAN routine that is processed at each time interval to determine if the time value corresponds to any of those values for which there is experimental data, and, if so, to calculate the sum of the squares of the differences between observed (XA1, XA2, XA3) and calculated (Al, A2, A9) species...

In a few organizations, pohcy/procedure statements have been issued specifying that hazards are to be addressed early on by design work groups, with safety professionals being participants in design discussions. 

To serve as a reference, an example of a pohcy/procedure statement on safety in the design process follows. Its intent is to announce that hazards are to be addressed during early design concept stages, and as an integral part of a concurrent engineering program.

How would an organization put into practice a policy requiring that hazards be addressed in the design process As was the case with policy statements, very few procedure statements exist that could serve as references. An adaptation follows of such a procedure guide. It is to serve as a reference only It will not be suitable for any organization without modification.
