If a driver wishes to rebut information in records received he/she must send the rebuttal to the previous employer with instructions to include the rebuttal in that driver s safety performance history. 

The other requirements that driver needs to be trained on are the spare logs and instruction sheet requirements. When using an automatic electronic log, the driver must have enough spare logs to log the previous seven days plus the remainder of the trip in case the device fails. The driver must also have an instruction sheet that explains to a layperson how to display the driver s hours-of-service records on the device (this is for officers on the road). These requirements are present in the proposed rule, as well as the present rules.
