Preparation of sodium oligoorganosiliconates

Sodium oligoorganosiliconates are aqueous-alcoholic solutions of the following composition  [Pg.238]

R=CH3 or C2H5 R-CH3, C2H5, H, OH or a fragment of the molecule of the product of the partial hydrolytic condensation of organochlorosilanes. [Pg.238]

The structure of sodium oligoorganosiliconates first of all depends on the type of the original raw stock. [Pg.238]

Alkyltrichlorosilanes are etherified when the weight ratio of alkyltri-chlorosilane and ethyl alcohol is 1 (3.05-K3.1) the etherification is accompanied by gradual replacement of chlorine atoms in alkyltrichlorosilane with ethoxyl groups  [Pg.239]

If alcohol is lacking, the reaction can form only chloroethers, e.g. [Pg.239]
