1 Preparation of cellulose and lignin from sugarcane bagasse 

Cellulose and lignin were obtained from sugarcane bagasse by pretreatment of the bagasse with sulfuric acid, delignification and separation of the fractions. 

Pretreatment of sugarcane straw with sulfuric acid solution In natura sugarcane bagasse with a moisture content of approximately 50% (w/w) was pretreated with 10% (w/v) sulfuric acid solution in a stainless steel reactor at 120°C for 10 min.
