Preparation of branched oligomethyl phenyl siloxanes with metacrylethoxyl groups in the lateral chain

Preparation of branched oligomethyl(phenyl)siloxanes with metacrylethoxyl groups in the lateral chain [Pg.227]

01igomethyl(phenyl)metacrylethoxysiloxane (MAS) is a mixture of oligomer homologues in a solution of toluene and butanol with the following common composition  [Pg.227]

MAS is synthesised by the hydrolytic cocondensation of metacrylated triacetoxymethyl- and triacetoxyphenylsilanes  [Pg.227]

MAS production comprises two main stages 1) the hydrolytic cocondensation of the metacrylation products of the acetoxysilane mixture and the flushing of the products from acetic acid with an impurity (-0.5%) of glycolmethacrylate 2) the partial distillation of the solvents from the product of hydrolytic cocondensation and the filtering of the finished product. [Pg.227]

After the product in reactor 1 has been flushed, the agitator is switched on, condenser 4 is switched into the direct mode, a vacuum is created in the system (the residual pressure is 550-480 GPa), the jacket of the apparatus is filled with vapour and the solvents (butanol and toluene mixture) are partially distilled up to 65 °C in vapour into receptacle 7. The vapour is switched off, the jacket of the reactor is filled with water, the reactive mixture is cooled to 25-30 °C, the agitator is stopped and the vacuum is discharged. From reactor 1 the reaction product is sent to ultracentrifuge 8. From there the finished MAS is sent into container 9. [Pg.228]
