Prairie grain variety survey

Petersen, U., Oslage, H.-J., and Seher, A. (1979). Fette, Seifen, Anstrichm. 81, 177-181. Prairie Grain Variety Survey (1981). Canadian Co-operative Wheat Producers Ltd., Regina, Saskatchewan. [Pg.473]

Records that enable the introduction of new rapeseed varieties to be recorded include surveys of varieties planted and surveys of harvested grain. The "Prairie Grain Varietal Survey" is carried out annually with the cooperation of the three provincial elevator pools (Anonymous, 1972-1981). This annual report, since 1972, has combined data on area planted obtained from Statistics Canada and Provincial Departments of Agriculture with estimates on varietal distribution obtained from pool elevator agents. Information on the varietal distribution in rapeseed prior to 1972 appeared in the publication "Seedtime and Harvest" (Durksen, 1968-1971) published by the now disbanded Federal Grain Limited. [Pg.172]
