There are other salient facts that do not appear in these lists. Thus, we have not included Hugh Taylor s knighthoods by Queen Elizabeth II and Pope Pius XII and his presidency of the Faraday Society. Nor have we mentioned his great contribution to the Manhattan Project. But it is not our intention within the scope of this paper to list every scientific accomplishment or even every facet of Hugh Taylor s complex personality.
