PSU Polysulphone

Polysulphone (PSU) is a high-performance polymer with superior mechanical, electrical and thermal properties in a temperature region from -100 up to 180 °C. It is mainly used in exacting mechanical and electrical applications. [Pg.17]

Polysulphones The polysulphone family of polysulphone (PSU) and polyether sulphone (PES) is a TP based on sulphone derivatives, aiming at high heat-stability. PSU originated in the discovery of a method of producing high molecular weight aromatic polyethers. [Pg.132]

Examples of resins used include the nylon family (polyamide/PA), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene, and polyethylene. There continues to be growing applications for the higher-performance RTFs, such as polyphenylene sulphide (PPS) and polysulphone (PSU). Use is made of many other TPs (Chapter 3). [Pg.263]

High-performance polymers (HPPs) These include poly vinylidene fluoride (PVDF), poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate PBAT, polyarylene ether type polymers[4] PAE, polysulphone PSU, pol5dmides, PI.. etc). [Pg.18]

In one instance, nonwoven mesh composed of polysulphone (PSU) ultrafine fibers (diameter, 1 2 pm) were fabricated via the electrospinning technique and... [Pg.86]

High-performance engineering thermoplastics Fluoropolymers (PTFE, FEP, PVDF), liquid crystal polymers (LCP), polyphenylene oxides or ethers (PPO, PPE), aromatic polyketones (PEEK, PAEK), polyphenylene sulphides (PPS), polysulphones (PSU), polyether sulphones (PES), polyamideimides (PAI), polyetherimides (PEI), polyimides (TPI). [Pg.500]
