At 5 hr 59 niin post infection, an infected cell suspension was exposed to 10 7m pactamycin and 80 mC of a 3(H) amino acid mixture per ml for 20 min. Following the incubation period, the cells were chased for 80 min in medium free of pactamycin and isotope.
