Polycarpamines A-E (137-141) are unusual sulfur-containing antifungal agents from Polycarpa auzata from the Philippines. The structures were elucidated by interpretation of spectral data [148]. Polycarpine (142), a cytotoxic, dimeric, disulfide alkaloid, the corresponding dihydrochloride (143) and two sulfur-containing related monomers (144-145) were isolated from Polycarpa clavata from Western Australia [149]. Polycarpine (142) was also isolated with two monomers (144,146) from P. auraia from Chuuk [150] and later it was synthesised in three steps from p-methoxyphenacyl bromide [151]. 

Additional alkaloidal species included the following Alriplex polycarpa (1/2), A. rosae, Chenopodium ambrosoides (1/3), C. nuilaliae (1/3), Lophiocarpus burchellii (now placed in the Phy-lolaccaceae), Spirostachys (= Heterosiachys) africanus, Suaeda ni-grescens. v...

Enantia polycarpa Engl, et Diels and E. pilosa Exell. (2, 3), which principally afford protoberberine alkaloids. Furthermore, cinchonidine and other Cinchona alkaloids have been extracted from the leaves of Olea europaea L (4).
