Figure 3.18 shows an example of the variation with temperature of V2 for a network of poly(methyl trifluoropropylsiloxane) (PMTFPS) in different solvents (20). Some aspects merit additional comments. The low values of V2, around 15%, suggest a good polymer-solvent interaction (low values of X12) therefore, acetates and tetrahydrofuran can be considered good solvents for PMTFPS. The opposite behavior (high values of V2) is shown for PJvITFPS networks swollen in n-chlorobutane. [Pg.111]
