Poly 2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate

PtBA-b-PCEMA poly(t-butyl acrylate)-block-poly(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl) methacrylate... [Pg.253]

Unlike regular block copolymer micelles which are well permeable for reagents, triblock nanospheres with hydroxylated polyisoprene coronas, cross-linked poly(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate) shells, and poly(acrylic acid) cores, filled with Pd nanoparticles, showed slower hydrogenation of alkenes than Pd blacks due to the need for the reactant(s) to diffuse into and the products to diffuse out of the encapsulating nanospheres [13]. On the other hand, microspheres formed by diblock poly(t-butyl acrylate)-hlocfe-poly(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate) and filled with Pd nanoparticles demonstrated good permeability and higher catalytic activity in the hydrogenation of methyl methacrylate than the commercial Pd black catalyst [14]. [Pg.94]

The first ABC triblock copolymer used by us to prepare nanotubes was polyzsoprene-fclock-poly(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate)-fc/ock-poly(ferf-butyl acrylate) or PI-PCEMA-PtBA [19] ... [Pg.38]

Koh et al. utilized a bottom-up approach to build coreshell nanocylinders having distinctive chemical funaionalities throughout the internal domain and exposed at the end sites. These nanoscopic objects were fabricated via supramolecular assembly and intra-assembly cross-linking of polystyrene-b-poly(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate)-b-poly(tert-butyl acrylate) (PS-b-PCEMA- -PtBA) ABC triblock terpolymers within a PS matrix. Functionalization of the end sites and chemical derivatization of the internal reactive groups were performed sequentially to afford these tmique regiochemically functionalized nanostmctures (Figure 32). [Pg.802]

For our initial proof-of-concept project, we prepared and used a pentablock copolymer poly[(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacrylate)-rfl -(2-trifluoroacetoxyethyl methacrylate)]-Wock-poly(solketal methacrylate)-Wock-poly(tert-butyl acrylate)-f>tock-poly(solketal methacrylate)-Wock-poly[(2-cinnamoyloxyethyl methacryIate)-rfl -(2-trifluoroacetoxyethyl methacrylate)], abbreviated as P(CEMA-r-TFAEMA)-fe-PSMA-fe-PtBA-f>-PSMA-f7-P(CEMA-r-TFAEMA) and shown in Figure 24.10. [Pg.749]
