As a purge medium, to prevent pressure taps and other instrument connections and relief valves, from plugging... 

The instrument connection should not be too small so that it easily breaks or plugs V2-in connections are often considered too small 1 to 2 in is normally adequate. 

A system has been constructed which allows combined studies of reaction kinetics and catalyst surface properties. Key elements of the system are a computer-controlled pilot plant with a plug flow reactor coupled In series to a minireactor which Is connected, via a high vacuum sample transfer system, to a surface analysis Instrument equipped with XFS, AES, SAM, and SIMS. When Interesting kinetic data are observed, the reaction Is stopped and the test sample Is transferred from the mlnlreactor to the surface analysis chamber. Unique features and problem areas of this new approach will be discussed. The power of the system will be Illustrated with a study of surface chemical changes of a Cu0/Zn0/Al203 catalyst during activation and methanol synthesis. Metallic Cu was Identified by XFS as the only Cu surface site during methanol synthesis. 

Animals are placed individually on a stationary treadmill (30 x 10 cm) and are connected to a signal conditioning system (Coulboum Instruments, Allentown, PA 18106, USA, Model V75-01) via a shielded multicore cable, connected at one end to the plug on the animal s head and at the other end to a swivel mounted 30 cm above the center of the treadmill. Animals are then given a 60 minute session with alternating periods of 10 minutes with the treadmill turned on (speed 1.5 rn/rnin) and off. 

To use the telephone, persons who are deaf attach a telecommunications device known by its abbreviation, TTY/TTD to the instrument. The phone s receiver sits in a cradle or coupler on the TTY connecting the two devices. Direct communication can work only if there is a TTY at both ends. The deaf person dials the number when the hearing person picks up, she hears electronic chatter alerting her that a TTY call is underway she plugs her receiver into the coupler on her TTY, and words begin to appear on an LCD screen above a typewriter keyboard. 

Electrical equipment and connections should not be handled with wet hands, nor should electrical equipment be used after liquid has been spilled on it. The equipment must be turned off immediately and dried thoroughly a fan or hair dryer will speed up the drying process. In case of a wet or malfunctioning electrical instrument that is used by several people, the plug should be pulled and a note cautioning co-workers against use should be left on the instrument... 

Connect the ECU plug terminal 5,7,9 and instrument cluster plug ...
