Table 13.1 [30] shows a varying relationship of different solvents with plasmon peak position [31] of Cetylpyridinium chloride (CPC)-stabilized gold NPs. This shows two types of linearity. The of the LSPR of gold NPs in these solvents gradually shifts toward red with the increase in solvent refractive index. This is a linear dependence. But solvents with varying functional groups have a tendency of interaction with surface of Au NPs. Here A shift can be observed with a nonhnear fashion. 

In ETEM the stability of size-selected PUe clusters on a Si02 support was measured a elevated temperatures under UHV conditions. With INPS, different selected and unselected clusters samples supported on 5/3 4 were heated and the stability was monitored by measuring the changes in the plasmon peak position of the INPS... 

Figure 1 shows the UV-VIS spectra of the Ag colloid in the range 325 nm - 700 mn. The absorption band in a visible light region (350 nm - 550 nm, plasmon peak at around 400 nm) is typical for spherical silver NPs [4]. The plasmon peak position and the FWHM depend on particle mean diameter and on the extent of colloid aggregation [5].
