Plants and elimination

Safety or loss prevention the prevention of accidents through the use of appropriate technologies to identify the hazards of a chemical plant and eliminate them before an accident occurs. 

In a properly automated plant, this skeleton crew can concentrate on monitoring the plant and eliminating disturbances. This is made possible by process control engineering (Figure 2.8-1).
