In this work, the proposed optimization procedure is based on the combination of different optimization techniques, to know real-coded GA (RGA), Placket-Burman (PB) design, and QN. The approach is applicable when the stmeture of a kinetic model has been set up and the kinetic parameters should be estimated. 

Chapter 1 - In the current study the influence of aeration rate, inocnlum size and fermentation medium volume on the sophorolipids prodnction from the yeast Candida bombicola have been stndied. Using the data obtained from a two-level Placket-Burman experimental design, linear and cnbic models were obtained to understand the interaction amongst the ingredients. The cnbic model was used to find the optimal aeration rate, inoculum size and the fermentation medium volume. The maximum production of SLs is predicted to be obtained when the medium volume is 10 mL (in 125 mL Erlenmeyer flask), is inoculated with 5% of the inoeulum and incubated at 350 rpm. 

In the basis of Placket-Burman, using the steepest ascent experiment determined the Central Composite Design s experiment design center, and the 3 significant factors of inulin added amount, peptone content and liquid medium volume were optimized through response surface, therefore established the Endoinulinase activity s Quadratic polynomial mathematical model and anal) ed...
