THP-1 cells pretreated with 1 pM of 1-benzylimidazole (1-Bl) or pinane thromboxane A2 (pinane TXA2) were stimulated with 0.2 pg/mL EPS for 6 h. TNF-a levels in cell culture supernatant were determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. The amount of TNF-a produced in the control EPS-stimulated cells is set as 100%. Values are means SEM, n = 3. Significantly different from control group (P < 0.05).
