In this experiment type, the detector of the transmitted probe light behaves as a photon integrator only and the time resolution derives from the instrument s capability for measuring the difference in the time of arrival of the pump and probe pulses. This capability provides an intrinsic limitation to the pump-probe method, which depends critically on the width of the pulses being employed. Once the sky map reaching the system is determined, one can compute the associated photon noise that will reach the detector. The fundamental limit of any ideal photon integrating sub-mm detector is the noise associated with the Bose-Einstein Auctuations in photon arrival rate (Lamarre 1986) which results in a photon noise limited NEP... 

Light-emitting ID nanomaterials made by conjugated potymers have unique features because they combine optoelectronic properties of semiconductors with structural properties of potymers. Organic nanowires, nanofibers, and nanotubes can be produced by different techniques, including template-assisted synthesis and vacuum sublimation. However, the lowthroughput of many of these approaches limits their application in photonic integrated systems.
