Photography polaroid camera

For photography, Polaroid film is particularly useful. Type 47 film has a speed of 3000, and even with an ordinary //l.9 lens exposure times may be as short as two minutes. Lenses with focal ratios of unity or less have, however, been used in fluoroscopy and television and are available from such companies as Wray (Optical Works) Ltd., Farrand Optical and Old Delft. 35 mm cameras with//0.95 optics are also on the market (Canon Camera Company), but these use standard film, which is both slower and less convenient. [Pg.390]

Instant photography (Edwin Herbert Land) Land develops the simple process to make sheets of polarizing material. He perfects the Polaroid camera in 1972. [Pg.2062]

Land [388, 409] has developed the diffusion transfer process a stage further, so that it can be used nowadays for normal photography. This involves a type of camera with which exposure and development can be carried out within seconds. Film material has also been introduced which, in speed and performance, can compete with the emulsion types in conventional photography. In this polaroid photography as it is now termed, roll film or film pack can be changed without trouble in daylight. [Pg.131]

A rapid, simple means of recording chromatographic data is the use of Polaroid equipment. Even an elementary camera on an inexpensive stand can be used for photographing chromatograms or bioautographic plates. These can be copied in color or black and white and used as permanent laboratory records and are available immediately after photography. [Pg.16]
