Photocatalyst coatings applications

APPLICATION OF PHOTOCATALYST COATING TO WINDOWPANES The Contaminants on Glass and Photocatalyst... [Pg.1575]

Among various application fields of TiO photocatalysis in construction, building finishing materials with self-cleaning ability are most popular. Some prefabricated house manufacturers supplied new type of houses with photocatalyst-coated tile finishing or external finishing boards on the market a few years ago. [Pg.52]

A variety of photocatalyst supports has been examined experimentally. Dip-coated glass slides or plates have been used in many experimental systems as a simple lab-scale supported photocatalyst system. Coated glass offers many of tlte important features of a supported photocatalyst while still offering relatively simple preparation. Honeycomb monoliths, widely used as commercial catalyst supports for a variety of gas-phase applications, have also been examined as photocatalyst supports (Fig. 3). Although these monoliths offer good stability and excellent throughput, providing illumination for the photocatalyst inside the monolith channels can be problematic [41,42]. Randomly structured support materials, like fiber-based filters, reticulated foams, and similar materials, have been used... [Pg.254]

Among the most successful of the new radiation-curable silicone coating systems are compositions Incorporating cycloaliphatic epoxyfunctional silicone polymers with compatible iodonlum salt photocatalysts (1 - S ) The syntheses, structures, UV cure response, and other properties of these materials and some of their derivatives and monomeric homologs are discussed In the balance of this chapter. Their specific application for release coatings has been described In great detail elsewhere (5.6 > and Is not the subject of this paper. [Pg.382]

For practical applications of carbon-coated Ti02 photocatalysts, their endurance and repeated usability are very important. The cyclic performance of carbon-coated Ti02 was thus studied using two procedures repeated use of powders in suspension and their fixing by means of organic binders [97,101,108]. [Pg.226]

The approach of coating photocatalysts varies depending on the t)q>es of substrates used. Due to the wide application of Ti02 in photocatalytic fuel cells, emphasis will be given to the deposition of Ti02 on electrically conductive substrates. [Pg.261]
