Pharmacogenomics in Society

The natural trend in drug development will be toward indications of lower incidence, prevalence, and market value. There will be no choice. In addition, attention will have to be increasingly given to individualized medicine. But genomics-based, individualized medicine assumes huge changes in society s attitudes. This will become an enormously interesting debate. 

Probably about 20 billion over the past six years has been spent on the use of pharmacogenomics in clinical trials and in preclinical drug
