Pesticide use and control

Insecticides, fungicides and rodenticides are types of pesticide that may be encountered in offices as well as during construction work. In many jurisdictions there are requirements concerning the introduction and uses of these in the marketplace, and on how some products are manufactured, distributed, sold and used. Often, the user aspect is controlled by operator certification. In the UK the Control of Pesticides Regulations apply. 

Many pesticides have effects on other life forms than those they are used against, including humans. It may be necessary or advisable to apply these products after normal working hours to avoid exposure of staff to them.
