Pesticide residue monitoring program analytical methods

The California Department of Food and Agriculture is testing immunochemical assays for possible adept ion as analytical methods for pesticide residues in environmental samples. The work was initially undertaken by the Environmental Monitoring and Pest Management Branch (EM PM), and now involves the Department s Chemistry Laboratory Services Brandi as well. This paper discusses the history of our involvement in irrmunochemistry as an analytical method, our imnunochemical method development program, the format and other details of the assay we are using, and finally, looks into the future in anticipation of sane institutional problems which may arise. [Pg.51]
