Personal guilt

Acts of substantial participation by certain defendants are established by overwhelming proof. The only real issue of fact is whether it was accompanied by the state-of-mind requisite in law to establish personal guilt. 

They may fear personal guilt "What have we done wrong "... 

The client may have the undivided attention and skills of the worker but will lose the opportunity to discover that she is not the only person with the problem. Recognition of this does much to relieve the shame and guilt associated with drugs or mental disorders.

Send a special reward when you have been guilty of overtalking. There are times when you need to dump problems on another person. When this happens, send a thank-you card, flowers, or whatever expresses gratitude for being a caring listener. This way you can start the next conversation without feelings of guilt.
