Peng homogeneous

Homogeneous hybridization assays are analyses for the detection of a given DNA/RNA sequence by hybridization without separation processes (B/F separation). These assays form a basis of real-time PCR as described below. Furthermore, sufficiently sensitive homogeneous hybridization assays could be done without PCR and enable, for example, direct detections of certain mRNA forms expressed in cells. This type of experiment has been actually performed with some organic fluorophores (Peng et al., 2005 Santangelo et al., 2006). [Pg.199]

To detect hybridization in homogeneous DNA fluorescence assays, labeling of two nucleic acids or dual modification of the same strand is necessary to achieve sequence specificity. Peng et al. introduced a simple sensing platform to evaluate specific... [Pg.709]

Saim and Subramanian addressed the effect of supercritical CO2 as solvent media in the homogeneous chemical equilibria of different reacting systems, including the isomerisation of hexane and 1-hexene and the oxidation of 2-methylpropane. The Peng-Robinson equation of state was used to calculate the critical loci of CO2 with each hydrocarbon the information was used to avoid the two-phase region in the computation of conversion for each system studied. [Pg.435]
