Pavement inventory

The pavement inventory has a supportive and informative character however, it is absolutely necessary for pavement management. The minimum pavement characteristics to be recorded are as follows  [Pg.791]

Jurisdictional information, such as concessionaire, district, region or city. [Pg.791]

Location information, which includes the beginning and end point of each pavement segment. [Pg.791]

Road classification, for example, highway, principal, secondary or arterial road, crossroad, interchange and so on. A term often used is branch identification. A branch is an easily identifiable part of the pavement network with a distinct use. [Pg.791]

The type of pavement and type of shoulder (when it exists). [Pg.791]


Pavement inventory may also contain additional data such as bridge or underpass locations, road marking, streetlights, safety barriers, street furniture in general, accident records, construction, maintenance, rehabilitation cost, contracting companies data, noise and air pollution measurements and anything else related to the road. [Pg.791]
