Parting agent

Tricalcium Phosphate. Commercial tricalcium phosphate (TCP) is actually an amorphous basic calcium phosphate close to hydroxyapatite in composition. Because of its extremely low solubiUty in water, TCP is precipitated almost quantitatively from dilute phosphate solutions with a slurry of hydrated lime. TCP is separated by dmm-, spray-, or flash-drying the TCP slurry, with or without intermediate sedimentation or filtration steps. It is used as an industrial-grade flow conditioner and parting agent.

Even though some agents will have more credibility with publishers than you do, if you are a beginner, for the most part, agents will not pitch your book as aggressively as you would. Many dribble the book to publishers one or two at a time. Why not twenty What s there to lose by hitting many publishers at once That s what I do, and I ve always seen an advantage to this approach.

Recently, TVA has produced a slow-release urea coated only with sulfur (8, 9). This material, which also has a nominal size range of minus 6 plus 9 Tyler standard sieve size, typically contains 80% urea, 1% pre-applied parting agent, and 19% sulfur. There is much less agronomic data on this product than on the conventional product, and its effectiveness as a slow-release nitrogen fertilizer is not fully known, although early reports are very encouraging.
