Palladium catalysts poly derivatives

Hydroalkoxylation of alkynes, or the addition of alcohol to alkynes, is a fundamental reaction in organic chemistry that allows the preparation of enol ethers and a variety of oxygen-containing heterocycles such as furan, pyran, and benzofuran derivatives. Bergbreiter et al. found that a Mnear poly-(A-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAM) polymer exhibited inverse temperature solubility in water (i.e., soluble in cold water but insoluble in hot water). A recoverable homogeneous palladium catalyst was prepared based on the polymer. The PNIPAM-bound Pd(0) catalyst was effective for the reaction of 2-iodophenol with phenylacetylene in aqueous THE media to give the target product... [Pg.100]

The most frequently used metallic catalysts for acyldiazo- and (alkoxycarbonyl)dia-zomethanes are complexes or salts of rhodium, palladium and copper. Alkenylboronic esters A-silylated allylamines and acetylenes are successfully cyclopropanat-ed with diazocarbonyl compounds under catalysis of one of those metal derivatives. Newly developed metallic catalysts for diazoacetic esters include polymer-bound, quantitatively recoverable Rh(II) carboxylate salts ", Cu(II) supported on NATION ion exchange poly-mer ruthenacarborane clusters, Rh2(NHCOCH3)4 which produces cyclopropanes with substantially enhanced trans (anti) selectivity as shown below and (rj -CsHs)... [Pg.290]

Four solvent-soluble poly(aniline-co-thiophene) materials have been prepared by coupling thiophene derivatives with 4-n-butyl aniline using palladium acetate as catalyst. Mn s of up to 17,500 daltons with a PDI of 1.1 were obtained. [Pg.381]

At the opposite of the molecular chemistry described until now, nanoparticles are reminiscent of heterogeneous catalysts. However, these colloid-derived materials have been shown to catalyze efficiently in water coupling reactions which have been previously described in pure homogeneous systems. For instance, poly(N-vi-nyl-2-pyrrolidine)-stabilized palladium nanopartides promote the Suzuki crosscoupling in aqueous media with high yields (see also Section 6.6) [87]. [Pg.154]

This method is used to make HH-TT poly (3-alkoxythiophene) and involves the reaction of distannyl derivative with dibromoderivative of the monomer in presence of palladium (II) catalysts under mild reaction conditions."... [Pg.239]

Examples of sohd-bound Pd-catalyzed carbonylation of aryl and alkenyl halide, allyl alcohol, and derivatives are abundant in the literature. Polyketones have been obtained via carbonylation of ethylene and carbon monoxide catalyzed by palladium complexes of polysiloxane-bound phosphinet t or Pd(dppp) absorbed on alumina.f f Similar processes can also be carried out by catalyst formed simply by absorbing Pd(02CNEt2)2(NHEt2)2 onto silica geL Polyphosphine-bound palladium has been used to prepare ethyl hexanoate from 1-pentene, CO, and ethanol. Similar esterification of styrene has been achieved using a bimetallic system involving palladium and nickel immobilized on poly(Af-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone).f ... [Pg.1347]
