Packings, structured channel width

Table 2-3 lists the geometric properties of one size sheet metal structured packings with surface areas of 61 to 76 ft /ft, as provided by several manufacturers [11]. The crimp width is measured from one undulation to a similar point on the adjacent undulation in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the flow channel. The crimp depth is measured perpendicular to the crimp width and the longitudinal axis. Because alternate sheets are reversed in producing a module, the actual flow channel depth in a transverse plane varies from zero to twice the crimp depth. [Pg.40]
